Good news about Matt Taylor Scholarships and the Morro Bay High School Chamber Choir

The San Luis Obispo County Jazz Federation recently awarded scholarships to five young jazz musicians at the Steynberg Gallery.
Breanna Chambers, Michael Woodson, Ben Rosenberg and Addison Rifkind each received a $200 scholarship.
Matthew Evans was awarded the $500 Matt Taylor Scholarship.
The scholarships, given annually since 1984, were funded by the Matt Taylor Memorial Trust.
Morro Bay
The Morro Bay High School Chamber Choir was recently awarded $500 from Quota International of Morro Bay to benefit the Morro Bay High School music program.
The choir was presented with the donation after a performance at Quota’s Carnival Fashion Show and fundraiser at Windows on the Water in Morro Bay.
Quota is an international service organization with a special emphasis on the basic needs of women, children and the hearing- and speech-impaired.
