Three San Luis Obispo County high school teachers were recently awarded the 2016 Smart Grant (Students Matter in ART) by the Morro Bay Art Association. Each teacher was presented with a $1,000 grant that will be used to upgrade materials and needed supplies in the classroom.
The recipients are: Tess Harback of Atascadero High School; Amber Wickersham of Templeton High School; and Katrina Osborne of Morro Bay High School.
Student work from these three teachers will be displayed in the Art Center Morro Bay gallery beginning April 25.
Templeton
ART (Art Resources Team) for Children announced that it has been awarded a $1,000 grant from Central Coast Funds for Children.
The funds will allow ART for Children to double the amount allocated this year to provide Templeton’s two elementary schools with art instructors, art supplies, and better quality tools and materials.
ART for Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds that provide art instruction for Templeton’s elementary students.
