Paso Robles

The Paso Robles Sunrise Rotary Club has donated $5,000 to the mayor’s fundraiser Everyone in the Pool, to be held in April at Centennial Park in Paso Robles.

The objective of the island-themed event is to raise money for the upgrade of Centennial Pool and reopen it to the public. The city is spending more than $600,000 for the renovation; the mayor’s fundraiser is intended to defray those costs.

“These are everyone’s pools,” Paso Robles Mayor Steve Martin said in a news release, “and together we are going to upgrade and open them for the public.”

SLO County

Must! charities has announced that since its first project collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County in 2012, it has partnered with the Food Bank Coalition of SLO County, Big Brothers Big Sisters and most recently CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), achieving its goal of investing more than $1 million to create long-term, sustainable change in the community.

The funds invested in the past three years were made possible by community members, winery and business partners, and contributors.
