Good news about SLO Long Slow Distance and Karmic Pizza

SLO County

The SLO-LSD (San Luis Obispo Long Slow Distance) training camp recently held a three-day cycling event that raised more than $3,000 for the Fast Freddie Foundation.

According to organizer Chris Black, a record 197 bicycle racers from California, Oregon and Arizona participated in the event.

The Fast Freddie Foundation’s mission is to give young people tools to achieve personal success and life skills through cycling.

Shell Beach

The Senior Nutrition Program of SLO County is the recent recipient of a $676 donation from Karmic Pizza at The Cliffs Resort in Shell Beach.

The money was raised through patron donations during the restaurant’s Karmic Pizza Thursday Happy Hour as part of its ongoing campaign to donate to a local charity quarterly.
