Good news about Toys for Tots, Peoples’ Self-Help Housing and Parents for Joy

The Atascadero Community Band recently donated $547 in audience donations from their Holiday Concert to the Paso Robles Toys for Tots.
SLO County
Bank of America recently presented Peoples’ Self-Help Housing with a $10,000 check in recognition of the nonprofit’s 45th anniversary.
Founded in San Luis Obispo in 1970, Peoples’ Self-Help Housing has expanded to Santa Barbara and Ventura counties, with nearly 1,200 self-help homes completed and more than 1,600 rental units developed, according to a news release from the organization.
Peoples’ Self-Help Housing provides affordable housing and programs leading to self-sufficiency for low-income families, seniors, veterans and other special needs groups.
Paso Robles
The Almond Country Quilters Guild raises money for local charities every year during its Holiday Auction, which was held recently in Paso Robles.
One of this year's recipients was Parents for Joy, a group of local parents building a special needs park in Atascadero. The group received $2,100 from the guild.
