Good news for Morro Bay Maritime Museum, Jack’s Helping Hand, SLO Youth Symphony and Central Coast Funds for Children

Thanks to a successful 2015 Morro Bay Harbor Festival, the festival board donated $10,000 of its proceeds to the nonprofit Central Coast Maritime Museum Association.
The funds will go toward finishing construction of Morro Bay Maritime Museum’s new building and display projects.
SLO County
Pacific Eye has given $10,000 in total contributions to 12 local nonprofit organizations as a result of its annual Pacific Eye Gives Back Challenge.
Supporters from around the Central Coast participated in the contest, casting more than 17,000 votes with the top three organizations securing the largest donations.
Jack’s Helping Hand, San Luis Obispo Youth Symphony and Central Coast Funds for Children were the top three choices, with donations of $5,000, $2,500 and $1,000, respectively.
The remaining organizations received donations of $250.
