Good News for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Literacy for Life

The Harold J. Miossi Charitable Trust recently awarded a $20,000 grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County. The funding has allowed the agency to create and continue their School-Based Mentoring program in Morro Bay and partially supports its program in San Luis Obispo.
This is the fourth contribution from the trust with grants totaling $80,000, according to the agency.

Local marketing agency, Verdin, recently completed its 24-Hour Give, donating a total rebrand for the nonprofit Literacy for Life, formally known as the San Luis Obispo County Literacy Council. The organization is a free resource for those age 16 and over facing the challenges of illiteracy.
In addition to a new name and new brand identity, Verdin provided a new website, advertising campaign, marketing materials and public service announcement all completed in 24 hours.
