Good news for SeaCrest hotel, SLO County YMCA

The SeaCrest Ocean Front Hotel has been presented with the 2015 United Way Community Spirit Award.

The annual award acknowledges an organization whose members participate in community service activities.

The SeaCrest received recognition for hosting the Boogie on the Bluff event for the past three years, which is a major fundraiser for United Way of San Luis Obispo County.

SLO County

The San Luis Obispo County YMCA recently received a grant of $3,000 from the Janssen Youth & Youth Sports Fund held at The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo. The grant money will go to support the YMCA’s lacrosse program.

The foundation provides leadership and encourages charitable giving to improve and enhance lives in the county.
