Good news for St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, DANA Cultural Center

Arroyo Grande

The Rt. Rev. Mary Gray-Reeves, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of El Camino Real, recently installed the Rev. Rob Keim as the new rector of St. Barnabas’ Episcopal Church in Arroyo Grande.

More than 200 people attended the ceremony, including Arroyo Grande Mayor Jim Hill, City Councilwoman Barbara Harmon and City Manager Dianne Thompson.

Keim has served Episcopal churches in Sunnyvale, Santa Cruz and Palo Alto.

Nipomo

The DANA Cultural Center was recently awarded the Spokes Medal of Merit Award for 2015. The board of directors and staff were honored for accomplishing the organization’s mission and setting new goals for long-term growth and development.

The awards are presented annually at the Spokes Salutes celebration and thank-you event for local nonprofit leaders.

This year’s event was held at the Dallidet Adobe in San Luis Obispo and was hosted by the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors.

Spokes provides local nonprofits with management training, consulting and resources.
