French Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) has been named a Top General Hospital in the nation by The Leapfrog Group, one of only six hospitals in California to receive this honor.
Only 45 hospitals in the United States received the Top General Hospital award. Performance across many areas of hospital care is considered in establishing the qualifications for the award, including infection rates, maternity care and the hospital’s capacity to prevent medication errors. The selection of Top Hospitals 2017 is based on surveys from nearly 1,900 hospitals.
