The Women’s Shelter Program of San Luis Obispo County (WSP) recently received a grant award of $14,260 from The Community Foundation San Luis Obispo County.

The funds were awarded through three programs and will support a wide variety of activities at the agency, including participation in enrichment activities for youth clients, updating outreach materials to reflect WSP’s inclusivity of LGBTQ clients, and conducting group counseling programs that encourage positive, personal growth. All these services are offered to survivors of intimate partner violence and child abuse who seek support through the Women’s Shelter Program.

“We are so grateful for our partnership with The Community Foundation and its generous donors whose funds ensure our organization will continue to support our clients as they work toward rebuilding their lives free of violence,” said WSP executive director Kirsten Rambo.
