CASA of SLO County receives donation from Baxter Moerman Jewelry
San Luis Obispo
CASA of San Luis Obispo County recently received a donation of $200 from Baxter Moerman Jewelry in downtown San Luis Obispo. Their donation represents the proceeds from all battery purchases made at the business between November 2016 and May 2017.
Court Appointed Special Advocates recruits, trains and supervises volunteer advocates for abused, neglected and abandoned children in San Luis Obispo County. For information, visit www.slocasa.org.

Soroptimist International of San Luis Obispo installed the 2017-18 board of directors at its June 20 meeting. Installing officers Barbara Farber and Carol Werth made the announcements.
Serving on the board this year are Anne Holden and Janice Minyard, directors; Susan Hayward, treasurer; Faye Baur, secretary; Dorene Cisneros, vice president; and Debbie Jensen, president.
Soroptimists work locally and globally to improve the lives of women and girls.
Paso Robles
The Lions Club of Paso Robles held a charity golf tournament in Paso Robles on June 3. Idler’s Home of Paso Robles was a silver sponsor of the event. Money collected from the tournament will be disbursed to charities within Paso Robles. The Lions Club of Paso Robles’ Vice President Joel Zwick recently presented Jennifer Farrell and Don Idler of Idlers Home with a thank you plaque for their support.
