Together, employees from both hospitals donated 1,190 servings of cereal and $3,111 to help feed local children who may be struggling with hunger during their summer break. That money will be matched by Tenet Healthcare.
All of the cereal collected by both Sierra Vista and Twin Cities was donated to the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County, along with the more than $3,000 in monetary donations. Carrie White, Executive Assistant to the CEO, at Sierra Vista was an Honorable Mention recipient for Volunteer of the Year for her efforts coordinating this year’s cereal drive.
