Big Bubba’s Bad BBQ was cited for selling alcohol to a minor, who was working as an undercover decoy for the sheriff’s Alcohol Compliance Team in coordination with the California Department of Alchoholic Beverage Control. Businesses that sell alcohol to minors are issued a notice to appear in court and are criminally prosecuted by the District Attorney’s Office, according to a sheriff’s news release. The ABC also can take administrative action against the business.
In addition, 31 citations were issued for minor in possession of alcohol, four citations for furnishing alcohol to minors and three citations for minors having false identification for purposes of acquiring alcohol, according to the news release.
