Firefighters were making progress on a small vegetation fire in the San Miguel area on Sunday evening, according to Cal Fire Capt. David Kay.
About 3 to 4 acres in Hog Canyon east of San Miguel have burned in the Ridge Fire, Kay said.
Crews were dispatched to the blaze about 5:25 p.m. Aircraft called to help fight the fire were being released as of 6:10 p.m.
Kay said there appears to be several structures threatened, judging from an aerial photo of the blaze.
