Beginning Monday, Aug. 1, motorists on Highway 41 near Cholame will experience a roughly 10-minute delay as Caltrans works to resurface a 1-mile section of the highway.
According to a Caltrans news release, the project will take place approximately five miles north of Highway 46 East near Cholame. Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays.
Traffic control will also be in place during the overnight hours, Monday through Thursday, from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., and on Fridays from midnight until 6 a.m.
Electronic message boards will be in place on Highway 41 and Highway 46 East to advise motorists of the road work.
Caltrans says the project is expected to be completed in September.
