Grass fire burns 4.5 acres in Paso Robles
Crews contained a vegetation fire at 4.5 acres Sunday evening in Paso Robles, according to Cal Fire Capt. Jeff Smith.
The fire, which began about 4:35 p.m. in the 5100 block of North River Road, threatened one structure, Smith said.
Cal Fire and Paso Robles Fire Department crews contained the fire at 5:27 p.m. Seven fire engines, two dozers, two hand crews and a battalion chief were on scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Power lines in the area were down; however, it’s undetermined whether the downed lines caused the fire or whether they were a result of the fire, Smith said.
No one was injured.
