SLO police to conduct DUI saturation patrols

San Luis Obispo drivers should be extra careful Saturday night — police will be conducting DUI patrols during the evening and overnight hours.

Officers from the San Luis Obispo Police Department’s DUI Enforcement team will be conducting saturation patrols from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Police will be targeting areas with high rates of DUI arrests and collisions. Officers will be looking for signs of alcohol or drug impairment and will check for proper licensing.

Funding for the operation was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
