Morro Bay hires new city tourism manager
Morro Bay recently added a new city tourism manager to its roster as part of a plan to revamp the city’s marketing and promotions efforts.
Jennifer Little will lead Morro Bay’s tourism outreach starting on June 6. Little, whose family is based in the area, has worked on various marketing and advertising campaigns, including Ultimate Fighting Championship mixed martial arts and Las Vegas hotels and casinos.
City Manager David Buckingham said Little was “the clear top candidate.” She will replace Brent Haugen, Morro Bay Tourism Bureau executive director, who will leave his position June 30.
Hiring Little is part of Morro Bay’s plan to move its tourism marketing and promotions in-house. The city has contracted the services out to the Tourism Bureau for the past two years.
