Los Osos man arrested on suspicion of felony DUI after flipping car

A Los Osos man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after flipping his car on Highway 101 in Nipomo on Sunday, according to the CHP.

Christopher Dolan, 19, was driving a 1988 Toyota Corolla on northbound Highway 101, just south of Tefft Street, about 1:25 p.m. when he turned left and allegedly began to spin out of control, according to a CHP news release.

The Corolla struck the metal guardrail in the center median and began to flip, coming to rest on its side; Dolan’s passenger, 22-year-old Erik Ramos, also of Los Osos, was ejected from the vehicle, the release said.

Both Ramos and Dolan suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria.

Dolan was later booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of felony DUI. He was being held on $100,000 bond as of Sunday night.
