Paso Robles affordable housing complex being modernized
Peoples’ Self-Help Housing is beginning rehabilitation of Creston Gardens Apartments, a 60-unit affordable housing complex that was in danger of becoming market-rate housing.
The group will hold a groundbreaking celebration at the complex from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 3 at 1255 Creston Road in Paso Robles. The event is free and will include tours.
The rehabilitation will include foundation repairs and leveling to alleviate sagging. The complex’s community building, including community space, management offices and a youth learning center, will also be remodeled.
Each building will be modernized and upgraded with new roofing. All residential units will receive new appliances, cabinetry, flooring and fixtures.
RSVP is requested by Friday by calling 805-540-2441.
