Road excavation to cause Highway 1 delays
Highway 1 drivers will encounter delays Tuesday and Wednesday as gas lines are installed in Pismo Beach.
A one-way reversing traffic control will regulate traffic from Price Street to Mattie Road from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., according to a Caltrans news release. Electronic message boards will inform motorists of the roadwork.
The shift in traffic patterns will allow Southern California Gas Co. to perform the excavation work required to install a feeder gas line.
The project is expected to be completed in May, weather permitting.
