Cal Poly was ranked among the top colleges in the nation by PayScale.com for the value of its education.
The university ranks 15th among the nation’s public universities and 32nd among all institutions for return on tuition investment, according to a new listing from the online salary, benefits and compensation information company.
Among public universities in California, Cal Poly was the second best in return on investment after UC Berkeley.
For Cal Poly, the total cost to attend is $96,300 (up from $93,200 last year) and average return on investment was calculated at $698,000 (up from $669,800 reported in 2015). For non-California residents, the total cost of earning a Cal Poly degree is $141,000.

The PayScale study assessed 962 public and private universities around the nation in 2015.
In addition, in a separate recent ranking, Forbes named Cal Poly as one of the 300 Best Value Colleges in the U.S.
