Cal Fire to host badge-pinning ceremony in SLO
Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated the agency holding the badge-pinning ceremony; it’s Cal Fire/San Luis Obispo County.
Cal Fire/San Luis Obispo County will recognize new leaders and long-serving employees with a badge-pinning ceremony Wednesday.
The newly appointed division chief and battalion chief will be sworn in, along with new fire captains and fire apparatus engineers. Cal Fire employees who have served the state for 25 years will also be honored.
San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Debbie Arnold will perform the swearings-in, and Supervisor Adam Hill will speak at the ceremony.
The event will be held at 4 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors chambers at 1055 Monterey St.
