SLO seeks volunteers for city advisory groups

San Luis Obispo officials are accepting applications for positions on four city advisory bodies, groups of volunteers that advise city staff and the City Council.

There are openings on the Citizens’ Revenue Enhancement Oversight Commission, the Parks and Recreation Commission, the Planning Commission and the Tree Committee. All registered voters within the city are eligible for appointment.

Participation by non-registered voters and non-city residents may be permissible depending on the nature and purpose of the advisory body, as determined by the City Council, according to city officials. Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of the appointment.

More information is available at www.slocity.org/government/advisory-bodies/vacancies or at the City Clerk’s Office, 990 Palm St.

The deadline to apply is April 22 at 5 p.m.
