Paso Robles airport runway to get $1.4 million repaving

The City of Paso Robles has received $1.4 million in federal grant funding to complete rehabilitation of the taxiway at the Paso Robles Municipal Airport.

The city completed the first phase of the project in 2015 with a similar grant from the Federal Aviation Administration. That project covered two-thirds of the taxiway with a new slurry seal that will extend its life for another 10 to 15 years.

The new project will complete the rehabilitation and bring the entire taxiway up to FAA standards for many years to come. Tartaglia Engineering of Atascadero has been hired to develop the plans and specifications.

The resurfacing work will be done this summer when weather conditions are most favorable.
