Los Osos CSD seeks reserve firefighters

The Los Osos Community Services District is looking to hire as many as seven reserve firefighters to staff the Cal Fire/SLO County Fire Station 15 in the South Bay.

Reserve firefighters are expected to cover two 12-hour shifts per month, attend training and drills, and return for emergency callbacks at Station 15.

To qualify, individuals must submit an application by 5 p.m. March 25 and present a valid form of ID, Social Security card and a Department of Motor Vehicles report dated within 30 days.

A résumé review will be conducted with a preference for applicants who are current San Luis Obispo County paid-call firefighters or those with proof of accredited Firefighter I Academy completion. Applications and additional information can be obtained between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Cal Fire station 15 at 2315 Bayview Heights Drive in Los Osos.
