California Boulevard construction work in SLO continues

Lane closures, traffic detours and delays are anticipated this week as construction continues on a sewer line replacement on California Boulevard from Monterey to Marsh streets in San Luis Obispo.

During work hours, traffic on California Boulevard will be one-way only from Marsh to Monterey streets heading northwest; traffic in the opposite direction will be detoured, according to a news release from the city. The reduction to one-way traffic is anticipated to last three weeks.

However, rain could change the days that work will occur and extend the duration of work on this segment, according to the city. Work hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. The project is expected to be completed by the end of June.
