Shandon to connect to State Water Project
Work will begin Friday to connect Shandon to the State Water Project.
Crews will be installing a new turnout facility from the water project to provide Shandon access to its 100 acre-feet per year water allocation. The project entails building a concrete vault to house turnout equipment along with a 2-inch waterline from the State Water Project pipeline to the existing pipeline in Shandon’s water system.
Work is scheduled to be completed July 7. No road closures and traffic delays are expected.
Sansone Company Inc. has been awarded the contract for the work for $264,760. The work is funded by County Service Area 16, which serves Shandon.
