Driver hurt in Highway 101 crash near Santa Margarita
A driver suffered minor injuries Monday morning after attempting to pass another vehicle and striking a center divider on Highway 101 near Santa Margarita, causing the vehicle to roll onto its side and come to rest in the roadway.
The CHP was notified of the accident about 10:04 a.m., according to CHP logs, on northbound Highway 101 just north of Highway 58.
According to the CHP, a Toyota Corolla attempted to pass another vehicle and struck the center divider before flipping. More details were not immediately available Monday morning, but the CHP said the driver suffered minor injuries. The agency’s investigation remained ongoing early Monday afternoon.
Officials closed one northbound lane as crews worked to remove the vehicle.
