Injured hiker airlifted from Moñtana de Oro State Park
A hiker was rescued Sunday morning after suffering an injury while climbing on the Valencia Peak Trail in Montaña de Oro State Park, Cal Fire Capt. Dave Kay said.
Dispatch received a call about 10:30 a.m. The hiker was 2 miles up from the Valencia Peak trailhead when she possibly suffered a broken ankle. She was airlifted to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in San Luis Obispo, Kay said.
Cal Fire, CHP, State Parks and San Luis Ambulance responded to the scene.
