PG&E replacing power line tower near Morro Bay
PG&E crews are replacing a power line tower near Morro Bay.
They are replacing the old lattice tower with a new single pole tower, PG&E spokesman Tom Cuddy said. Work, including removal of the old tower, is expected to be complete late next week.
“It is part of our infrastructure investments and is a maintenance project on the system to enhance electric reliability,” he said. “It is the only tower we are adding or replacing there.”
No outages are expected while the work is being done. The utility rerouted power as needed to clear the lines, including 115-kilovolt lines nearby for safety, Cuddy said.
