The San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum has announced two new board members along with record membership and attendance numbers in 2015.

Linda Minton of Wells Fargo and Jessica Chavez of El Dorado Broadcasters were each elected to three-year terms, according to a company news release.

Newly elected officers include Lindsey Haring, president; Ellen Drews, vice president; Craig Filipponi, treasurer; and Carla Swift, secretary. Returning directors include Marsha Lifter, Alison Bell, Lisa Rizzo and John Summer.

The SLO Children’s Museum enjoyed a record-breaking year in 2015. Nearly 600 families are members, and more than 50,000 guests visited the museum.

The museum will introduce six new and improved exhibits this year, according to the news release.

As well, the museum invites the public to its “Moonlight Hours” with free entry from 5 to 8 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month.
