The Nipomo Community Services District is looking for bidders for a new reservoir next to the district’s Joshua Road pump station.

The project calls for construction of a 500,000-gallon partially-buried concrete reservoir at the Joshua Road Pump Station along with the related piping, electrical, instrumentation, grading and landscape improvements, according to a news release. It will increase the delivery capacity of the district’s Supplemental Water Project, which pipes water from Santa Maria, to at least 800 acre-feet a year.

The district Board of Directors authorized staff to advertise the project at its meeting Jan. 27.

The board is tentatively scheduled to consider awarding the project construction contract in late March.
