Free tax help available for seniors
The nonprofit AARP’s Tax-Aide is offering free tax preparation assistance to seniors and low- to moderate-income residents from San Luis Obispo and northern Santa Barbara counties. The sessions will begin Monday and extend through early April.
Those participating are not required to be AARP members.
AARP Tax-Aide has been providing tax preparation service to Central Coast residents for more than 30 years, offering the services of local AARP tax counselors and other volunteers who are trained annually and certified by the IRS.
Appointments may be scheduled at one of 14 preparation sites throughout the Central Coast by calling 931-6308 for locations in San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay, Cambria, Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande and Nipomo; 237-3870 for the Paso Robles Library; 237-3880 for the Paso Robles Senior Center; and 466-4674 for the Atascadero Senior Center.
