Fire at Goodwill in SLO burns storage containers
A fire burned several storage containers outside the Goodwill in San Luis Obispo on Tuesday morning.
The fire at 880 Industrial Way was reported just after 5 a.m., according to Battalion Chief Neal Berryman of the San Luis Obispo City Fire Department. It was originally reported that the entire building was engulfed in flames, but the fire was actually contained to the storage containers.
The containers included a large shipping container, a 40-yard Dumpster and four 3-yard Dumpsters, Berryman said. The fire was quickly extinguished and no one was injured.
Goodwill is expected to be open for business as usual, Berryman said.
