Cuesta College’s spring semester started Jan. 19, but classes are still available and students can register until Jan. 31 with instructor approval.

Courses are still available in areas such as architecture, art, biology, business, chemistry, computer information systems, early-childhood education, English, engineering, mathematics and Spanish, according to a news release.

Classes are offered at the community college’s San Luis Obispo campus, at its North County campus in Paso Robles, the South County Center in Arroyo Grande and online. Fees are $46 per unit.

Cuesta College also offers a variety of courses that run from three to 17 weeks, and short courses that can be completed in two weeks or less. For a look at course availability, go to www.cuesta.edu and click “Find Classes.”

The South County Center is offering a mix of new courses: traditional college classes that apply toward college degrees, classes for high school students that apply toward high school and/or college credit, and GED-preparation non-credit courses for residents without a high school diploma. More information on the center can be found at www.bit.ly/cuestasouthcounty.

Free bus service through Feb. 2 on San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority and South County Transit is available to students who show a copy of their college identification or student schedule.

Currently, 8,718 students are enrolled in courses at Cuesta College for the spring 2016 semester, which runs through graduation day, May 20.
