Correction: This story previously said the warming center would be at 1086 Grand Ave. in Grover Beach. It should be in Arroyo Grande.

Volunteers with the 5 Cities Homeless Coalition will host an overnight warming center Friday night for those needing shelter from storms. Additional nights may be added depending on the weather.

The warming center will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. at the Department of Social Services office at 1086 Grand Ave. in Arroyo Grande. Guests will have a dry place to sleep and a hot meal. Sleeping bags and mats will be provided as available.

Sobriety is not a condition for entry, but no drugs and alcohol are permitted. Once at the shelter, guests will not be permitted to return if they leave. Pets and smoking are not allowed.

Transportation to and from the warming center will be available through Ride-On Transportation from the Grover Beach train station at 5 p.m., the Pismo Beach Premium Outlets bus stop at 5:05 p.m. and the Arroyo Grande Community Library at 5:15 p.m.

For more information, call the Warming Center Hotline at 710-4330.
