Templeton Fire Department holds practice burn

The Templeton Fire Department conducted the fire training exercise on a house at 1173 S. Main St. that was donated by the Templeton Unified School District. Six other fire agencies joined the Templeton Fire Department to practice fire attack, rescue, building search, backup operations and air support. In a news release, the Templeton Community Services District said these types of exercises give firefighters much-needed hands-on experience.

The other personnel who participated were from Atascadero, Paso Robles, San Miguel, Cal Fire/SLO County Fire, Atascadero State Hospital and Diablo Canyon Power Plant.
