Pismo hires new community development director

Pismo Beach has hired Jeffrey Winklepleck as its new community development director.

He has more than 25 years as a planning project manager, the past 10 years working for Long Beach as its general superintendent of planning and zoning administrator/planning officer, according to a city news release. Winklepleck holds a bachelor of science degree in planning and public administration from the Price School at the University of Southern California.

Winklepleck will start his duties Feb. 8.
