The deadline for local nonprofits to apply for San Luis Obispo County grants is approaching at the end of January.
Nonprofits that promote the health, stability, independence and well-being of county residents can apply for a grant offered annually by San Luis Obispo County, according to a news release.
Applications for grant funding are due by 5 p.m. Jan. 29. The county will hold a public meeting to provide details about the application process and answer questions at 10 a.m. Friday at the County Government Center, 1055 Monterey St., D430 (fourth floor), in San Luis Obispo.
The Community Based Organizations and Preventative Health Grants are awarded to local programs that support and complement the county’s health and human services departments, the news release said. Both public and private nonprofit organizations may apply.
