Atascadero to host Father-Daughter Sweetheart Dance

The city of Atascadero will hold its Father-Daughter Sweetheart Dance the first weekend in February.

The dance will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Feb. 5 for ages 12 and younger and from 7 to 10 p.m. Feb. 6 for ages 12 and older, but children and their dance partner may attend either day. The dances will be held at the Pavilion on the Lake at 9315 Pismo Ave. in Atascadero.

Tickets go on sale Jan. 4 and may be purchased for $30 per couple for Atascadero residents with a 93422 ZIP code and for $35 per couple for nonresidents. Tickets for additional daughters are $5.

Tickets can be purchased only in advance at the Colony Park Community Center at 5599 Traffic Way on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The event encourages “fathers, uncles, grandfathers or anyone with a special girl” to attend the semiformal evening of dancing to music from DJ Gy Ryder.

The festivities will include snacks and door prizes. Professional photographer Jimmy de will be on site offering photo packages.
