Roadwork continues on Highway 227 near San Luis Obispo

A project to resurface Highway 227 near San Luis Obispo will resume Wednesday from Price Canyon Road to north of Buckley Road, according to Caltrans.

During the next two weeks, repairs will be made to both sides of the East Corral de Piedra Bridge south of Price Canyon Road, and to Highway 227 in various locations between Price Canyon Road and the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport. There will also be striping on the highway at Crestmont Drive.

Lane closures will take place in both directions on Highway 227 (also known as Broad Street) Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to a news release from Caltrans.

The $1.3 million project will then be suspended during the winter, and final paving of the highway will occur in spring 2016.
