SLO parade winners announced

Winning entries in Friday’s 40th annual San Luis Obispo Holiday Parade were announced Tuesday.

SLO Juggling and Unicycling Club won the award for Most Entertaining; Most Creative went to Pacheco Elementary School; and Best in Theme (“There’s No Place Like SLO”) was given to San Luis Garbage Co.

Large crowds lined the streets of downtown San Luis Obispo to watch nearly 100 colorful floats, marching bands, dancers, decorated vehicles and other participants. The colorful two-hour parade was sponsored by the San Luis Obispo Downtown Association.
