Eight roads will close for Grover Beach parade
Grover Beach will holds its 49th annual Holiday Parade on Saturday, and several roads will be closed for the event throughout the day.
The following streets will be closed between 8 a.m. and noon, according to the Grover Beach Police Department:
- W. Grand Avenue — from Oak Park Boulevard to 8th Street.
- 16th Street — from Longbranch Avenue to Ramona Avenue.
- 14th Street — from Longbranch Avenue to Ramona Avenue.
- 13th Street — from Longbranch Avenue to Ramona Avenue.
- 11th Street — from Rockaway Avenue to Ramona Avenue.
- 10th Street — from Rockaway Avenue to Ramona Avenue.
- 9th Street — from Rockaway Avenue to Brighton Avenue.
- Ramona Avenue — from 8th Street to 10th Street.
“No parking” signs will be posted Thursday on W. Grand Avenue from Oak Park Boulevard to 8th Street in preparation for the event. Vehicles will be towed if not removed from the parade route on Saturday, starting at 6 a.m., police say.
The parade is schedule to begin at 10 a.m. at 16th Street, and will continue west down West Grand Avenue to 9th Street before finishing at the Ramona Garden Park Center.
