The drive will benefit children under the care and supervision of the San Luis Obispo County Child Welfare Services.
The nonprofit volunteer program has served more than 6,100 children throughout the county since it began in 1990, according to a news release.
Beginning Friday, residents and local businesses are encouraged to drop off toys, gifts or funds at any Cal Fire fire station and at the Morro Bay Fire Department. Firefighters ask that the gifts be new and unwrapped.
