Dan Dow endorses Debbie Arnold for SLO County supervisor

San Luis Obispo District Attorney Dan Dow has endorsed San Luis Obispo County Supervisor Debbie Arnold for her bid to win re-election in 2016, Arnold’s campaign said Tuesday.

Arnold is running for a second four-year term representing the 5th District, which includes Atascadero, California Valley, Creston, Garden Farms and Santa Margarita, as well as portions of San Luis Obispo, Pozo and Templeton.

In a campaign news release, Dow said he was endorsing Arnold because of her concern for public safety.

“She understands the issues that threaten our communities, and has demonstrated the ability to work with law enforcement and other public safety leaders to protect our region and our way of life,” Dow said in the news release.

So far, Pozo organic farmer Eric Michielssen is Arnold’s only announced challenger.
