The San Luis Obispo County Health Commission is recruiting members ahead of expected vacancies.
It consists of 11 volunteer appointee county residents, of which six are consumer representatives, three are direct health care providers and two are indirect health care providers. The commission is recruiting for members in each category.
Commissioners meet the second Monday evening of every month, and they are expected to serve on various committees and spend about 10 hours per month working on committee-related work.
According to the Public Health Department, the commission has one vacancy to fill but expects up to five more vacancies in June. The commission is always accepting applications but is looking to conduct interviews for the next round of appointments in January.
