Halloween-related events will close main roads in Paso Robles and Arroyo Grande, while San Luis Obispo will enforce increased fines during the holiday period.

In Paso Robles, the annual “Safe and Fun” Halloween event will close main downtown streets to traffic between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday. The closures include 12th and 13th streets between Spring and Pine streets, as well as Park and Pine streets between 12th and 14th streets. More information can be found at http://goo.gl/vRlfR0.

In Arroyo Grande, the annual “Halloween in the Village” event will close East Branch to Mason streets between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday. Police also will be stepping up DUI enforcement with extra officers on the roads. More information can be found at http://goo.gl/gfpl8f.

There are no road closures in San Luis Obispo, but the police department will be enforcing the city’s “safety enhancement zone” ordinance. From 12 a.m. Thursday to 7 a.m. Monday, fines will be doubled for certain minor offenses including open alcohol containers, noise violations and hosting a party where minors are drinking alcohol.
