Arroyo Grande Halloween carnival set for Saturday

The Arroyo Grande Recreation Services Department, Scarecrow Inc. and the Kiwanis Club of Arroyo Grande Valley will hold their Annual Halloween Carnival and Haunted Maze on Oct. 24.

The carnival will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Elm Street Park.

The event will feature carnival games for candy and toy prizes, cookie decorating, hot dogs and hamburgers, the haunted maze, a costume contest and a pumpkin decorating contest, according to a city news release. To enter the pumpkin decorating contest, participants should bring decorated pumpkins from home.

The cost for the carnival area is $3 per child and $1 per adult at the door, though children’s carnival tickets purchased before Oct. 24 at the Recreation Services office at 1221 Ash St. are $2. Haunted Maze admission is $2 per person. Barbecued
